If you didn’t see the Cap3 post-credits, you wouldn’t have known that Bucky went into cryo.

And if you didn’t see the Black Panther post-credits, you wouldn’t have known that Bucky came out of cryo.

So you could have started Infinity War being like “Oh yeah, Steve and Bucky ran away to Wakanda and lived happily ever after.”
