i wasn’t trying to be snarky sorry if it came off that way! i went on anon because when i’ve brought up that that storyline isn’t possible within the mcu canon and how the writers already said it can’t be pulled off i’ve gotten some rude anons and didn’t want to potentially deal with that just for stating facts. sorry.

Hey my dude that’s ok! if you ever want to talk, honestly come off anon and ask to not be public 🙂 I don’t ever want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Maybe me posting this now is counter productive but I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring you haha. It’s hard to read sarcasm/not sarcasm via writing, I always just assume sarcasm bc my brain sucks.

But yeah, I don’t personally want a romantic relationship with Bucky and Nat, especially in their past, but the MCU is known for being rather liberal with their date and year consistency so who knows what’s going to happen ;( Bucky training young Natasha and treating her like the sisters he can’t really remember, now that’s the headcanon they can pry away from my cold, dead fingers.

bucky’s past with nat never got explored because in the mcu he doesn’t have one. nat was born in 1984 and bucky was with hydra in 1991. so for them to meet she would have been age 7 or younger. and it’s the writer’s hc that bucky was always hydra and never red room anyways. seb just really wants that storyline even though the writers have already said it’s not something that could be pulled off.

Haha! I was talking more about how I wanted to see more of Bucky as the Winter Soldier in general and I felt like we got robbed of that. I personally think the idea of Bucky training Natasha is an interesting storyline, but Sebastian is thinking more of the comic route where Natasha is around Bucky’s age because she was also enhanced and aged slowly, and he’s entitled to his opinion. I’m actually pretty against a romantic plot with Bucky and Nat as a couple in the MCU but I’d still like to see them interact as people who’ve dealt with similar shit.

I feel like this was snarky bc of the fact that you’re on anon and laying out timelines for me? But also consider this… the MCU is made up of mostly bad writing so we shouldn’t take anything seriously anyway!

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your opinion of time management skills??) I can expound on the information that’s already out there. ~~I also cannot for the life of me FIND that Tumblr post to link it, but I’ll keep working on that.~~ HA Fuck you, I found the post!

I’m not going to get into Army issue. That information is, frankly, kind of easy to find if you need it and Bucky spent none of his post-WTFSteve?? period wearing Army issue. I’m going to try to parse his Howling Commando uniform.
